According to Serve your city Facebook page a small start can lead to a big impression! With just launching in 2013, we served at least 100 high school students to be productive in their city. At Serve your city we help disadvantaged youth have an opportunity to engage in positive and engaging activities in their city, to help them give back, and feel the rewards of helping people and helping their communities. This, keeps them out of unhealthy and unsafe environments. We did an Anacostia River clean up, which some high school students to participated and they enjoyed it! Currently, we also have swimming lessons at Deadwood Recreation center, which is free to DC Residents. Children are free also to engage in any activities with just proof of residency. Already we had several families to come and middle school aged children has learn how to swim! It is great as a parent to take leadership and introduce our children to programs and activities that will teach them things they will need
